This lighted magnifier allows me to clearly see how to wrap very small fly rod guides with ease. I would not be able to wrap them unaided.
I'm pretty novice at rod building. This has been a life saver for seeing rod wraps up close. Just right for the price.
I bought the magnifier and regret not getting it sooner. I now can see size A thread clearly and notice the small details that really make the difference. I use a desk lamp for light source instead of the built in lights that require batteries.
I prefer these or this style . They keep you up close a personal .
