Blank and components came in faster than expected with zero issues. No damage. The rod is built but she hasn’t had a chance to use it yet. It should work like a dream, so far she is very happy and excited about it.
Esthetically beautiful blank. Most importantly, specs are on point!
Built two of the SJ843 kits for friends Joe and Matt. Both were fun builds and I added personalized decals. On the Blue Met I used white met thread which I expected to become somewhat translucent. It gave the rod a unique look. Enjoyed both.
Was tons of fun building this as my first project. There are small flaws in most my work and sure I will master it in time. Very excited to pair it with a reel and break it in @ the north jetty in Little River SC
