Exactly what I have been looking for to duplicate an older rod that isn't made anymore. 5'6" light power rod that you can shoot docks with but still has enough backbone to get a good hookset.

Cut down IS601M for kids...

Granddaughter wanted her own rod to fish with her brother. Took an IS601M, cut 12" off the butt, and outfitted it with CRB SSR double-foot guides, pistol grip, and CRB trigger reel seat. That's her with a panfish. But THEN, she tied into a nice sized bass that big-brother had to reel in for her. That IS601M makes a really nice, really capable rod.
