bream and carp fishing
well this might not be a tip but nows the best time to be using a tip rod so your getting on the bottom of the pond for the big fish. anyway ill get down to my main point using the bottom swim feeder is really good it doesn't matter if you haven't got a tip rod all's u need is a side winder (if you dont know what this is) this is a bite indicator you put the side winder on your line and when you get a bite the side winder will move up to tell you that youve got a bite. even if the weather is sunny there is always big fish on the bottom. the best groundbait mixture is bob nudds groundbait with some pellets, maggots and worms.that's the mixture thats goes into the bottom fedder and put a maggot and a chopped worm on the end of your hook the carp and the break go sick for it. anyway i need some help i don't know how to set up the bottom feeder so if you know give me an email leemoore170@hotmail.com. if you wondering how i caught the bream tench and carp is by using the legger bomb cause i cant set up the bottom feeder thanks for reading this and i will be making a site on fishing so enjoy my pals :)

If you can ever find a jig that is called a "Zonar". They are very good for crappies. orange and black are the right now. Lance

Fishing Spinner Baits
I have found by taking an elastic band and placing it from the barb of the hook to the head of the (lead weight) part of the spinnerbait willmake it a little more weedless when fishing in growth in water.

flounder fishing
while you are fishing for flounder, i have relized that if you keep reeling your jig to the boat you will get more bits,so if you have about five feet to your boat or dock just keep reeling this could improve your flounder fishing

Using pipi's without getting to smelly!
When Using Pipi's (fresh or Frozen),
I've found fish dont really to like to eat the black gullet bit of the meat so, get your hook and put it down in the crack of the pipi and move it around for a while to hook the white bit of the meat and pull it out just enough lift the white meat out, then squeeze the pipi shut and cut the black gunk off. I throw the pipi shell into the water (about 20cm to 40cm) to atract small bait fish and shrimp and then when I run out of pipi I cacth some more, even fresher, live bait.
Thanks and happy fishin, Nik.

Spring Crappies
A good way to catch spring crappies is to take a 1/8oz walleye jig (hot Pink best )and a 1/8oz bull shot about 12" above the walleye jig. with a crappie minow. Works wonders for bottom crappies. Drifting and popping slightly. Good luck fishing. Lance

ICE FISHING FOR SHY EYES
When the walleyes are there but don't want to hit, try taking a bobber that is too small to float your rig and let your minnow pull it down. Set the depth of the bobber 6 inches or so shallower than the water you are fishing. When the bobber comes to the top that means fish on!! Let them have it until you think a hook set is in order. Sounds stupid but it works. (Big lively minnows are a must)

FLOATS OR CORKS
I LIVE ON THE GULF COAST OF TEXAS,WHEN WE USE POPPING CORKS FOR TROUT AN REDFISH . THE CORKS ARE ALWAYS ,GETTING BEAT UP AND DO NOT VERY LAST LONG.
I BUILD CUSTOM RODS SO I STARTED USING THE LET OVER ROD FINISH EPOXY ON MY CORKS AND THEY LAST FOR A LONG TIME. ALSO THE COLORS DON'T FADE.THE FINISH WILL NOT CHANGE THE FLOATATION OF THE CORK
THANKS

LIVE BAITING PICKY EATERS.
WHILE FISHING LONG ISLAND SOUND FOR ALLIGATOR SIZED BLUEFISH (16-20 LB.), I DISCOVERED A TACTIC
THAT WILL PROVOKE A BRUTAL STRIKE WHEN THE FISH
WERE...SHY. WHILE DRIFTING OR SLOW TROLLING LIVE
BAITS, I HOOK THE BAIT IN THE TAIL AND DRAG IT BACKWARDS. THE BAIT FISH TENDS TO ROLL ON ITS SIDE AND SLAP ITS TAIL ON THE SURFACE. THIS SLAPPING SEEMS TO DRIVE FISH INTO STRIKING VICIOUSLY. IT ALMOST SEEMS TO MAKE THEM MAD. I HAD 1 BLUEFISH COME UP TO THE SURFACE AND LOOK AT MY BAIT TWICE THEN ON THE THIRD PASS, IT CLOBBERED THE BAIT HARD. I HAVE USED THIS TACTIC
NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE 13 YEARS I'VE LIVED IN FLORIDA ON KINGFISH, DOLPHIN, BARRACUDA AND OTHER TOP WATER FISH WITH EXCELLENT SUCCESS.
JUST A WORD OF WARNING: WATCH THE SEAGULLS AS THEY LIKE IT TOO.

fresh water bass fishing
Heres a tip i picked up in FL. When fishing with a plastic worm always keep the rod tip high in the air. Keep it straight up. You will feel every hit. By keeping the rod tip high in the air it keeps the line tight for when you go to set the hook. Also, I found the best color for a plastic worm is burgundy with a black stripe. Move the worm slowly and you will get more strikes.

Trout fishing, Lake & Stream
For shallow streams and holes. Use 4 # line then tie on a 6' length of 2# mono. use no weight for this hook up.Tie on a number 18 trebble hook. Use ball of Velveta cheese about the size of the tip of your little finger--form around the hook.make short casts to up stream and let bait tumble on the bottom (or near it) Power bait floats and is best used in still water with sinker so bait floats above weeds. One last thing any fish hates the smell of beer, oil, gas, suntan lotion and amino acid(it's in every ones body, more in some than in others)I use garlic powder and water to make a mask for Amino Acid. I always limiy out before any one else. Tight lines From jim Edwards

Bream Fishing
When fishing for bream using a small (3/8 oz or less)Roostertail, try attaching a bright color platic worm tail (a curly one works best)that's about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long when the fish stop biting the plain jane lure. My son and I discovered this last year and he caught a nice 1 1/2 lb bream within 2 casts after the modification.

Small Boat Anchor Ropes
I discovered a great way to store anchor ropes on small fishing boats (mine is an Alum 17'). Instead of trying to manage 100" of rope at the end of the fishing day by stuffing it in the bottom of the boat or wrapping it around a cleat, I store mine in a half gallon plastic ice cream container (bucket with a lid) and store it out of the way in a storage bin when I'm not using it. It also allows me to rewind it with no knots. I just attach the rope to my cleat with a snap link when I use the anchor. Works every time, and I have yet to have a tangle in the rope.
