"Out of the 10 or 15 blanks I've bought from you I finally made a rod for myself. Its a nice redfish rod made from the cobalt finished blank. WOW what a great rod. It's one of the best I've ever fished with. I have 2 Star rods and a $205.00 rod from Biscayne. All are great to fish with but when you consider that I built my rod for ~$50.00 total, the others just don't compare.
In a previous email I mentioned a trout rod that I built for someone else out of one of the sanded blanks. Well, I fished with that same guy on Sunday and watched him pull in a 28 redfish on that rod. He was a bit out classed on the tackle but really fought the fish aggressively by maxing the rod to it's full potential. Because of this we got the fish to the boat and released, very healthy I might add, in pretty short order.
Needless to say my friend can't say enough about the rod. Yes it makes me very proud to see someone catch a good fish on a rod that I constructed. I want to pass my thanks on to Mudhole though. I've only been building rods since August of this year. I could not have afforded to build so many rods in such a short period of time if it weren't for you guys. I don't build them for money, I have a full time job that keeps me VERY busy. I build them out of a passion (my wife calls it an obsession) for the sport of fishing. I appreciate all the help I've gotten from Mudhole keep up the good work."
