So I have to start by saying these pumps were not purchased for rod thread epoxy. They were purchased for a different type of epoxy for my wife's crafts. The pumps work fine for the hardener, but can't pick up the very thick resin. I think they should work for the couple different rod thread epoxies I have used. The resins are thick, but not as thick as my wife's epoxy. FYI

They’re only a few bucks more than the syringe and way easier and quicker. I highly recommend. This is the type of thing I look for now, after building 8 rods, an efficient shortcut.
