Have not built the rods yet. That being said I thing they will make a great walleye rod and will order again

Shelly's Casting rod

Used the MHX 7'0" Light Spinning Rod Blank - S842 to build a light weight and light action casting rod for a friend. The Two Tone grips added a special touch. The action feels great for what was wanted.

Very nice!!!

It’s a very nice blank. Even with my basic rod building skills I was still able to build something to be proud of I think. Very nice feel it’s light with great sensitivity and flexibility. I’m gonna use it for crappie. Light metallic blue also is a very cool color choice.

S842 Really Impressed

7'0" | 1-Piece | 4-8 lb. | 1/16 - 5/16 oz. | Fast Action | Light Power
Just wanted to say these rods are awesome. This was one of my first builds so it is nothing fancy. Sensitivity is wonderful for the light bites, casts great and all that BUT... these rods are strong beyond belief. I was out dinking around for crappies and look what I found. This rod was stressed way beyond what should have been the break point. Bent in a complete half circle but not a sign of damage after whipping this guy. Can't say the same for the landing net which broke in half getting it in the boat. Just to see if it would handle a steelhead I took it to the river last week...and it handled a few of those as well even after the Flathead abuse. I'll be building many more on this style blank.

7 feet of pure love

I have 4 of these, and have built 8 more for friends once they used mine. GREAT mag light rod! I fish everything from 2 to 6 pound line on this rod. It's an absolute beast for a light line dropshot setup. The biggest fish I've landed so far with this rod was a 17 pound striper on 4 pound line. It is money well spent, and with custom touches, who wouldn't love that? I've owned Loomis. St Croix and a few other high dollar rods, and the MHX's are a quality as any of them.
