This series of offshore and saltwater blanks from MHX utilize new technology incorporating a new hardened resin system along with full length 1k carbon fiber weave and clear coat. This along with the fact that each model has been developed more for specific species / applications than just generic designations such as trolling / bottom models. With virtually every Pelagic species in mind this line of blanks will soon be fully outfitting your offshore rig.

If it is determined that your blank is within the designated warranty period and failed due to a defect in material or workmanship your rod blank will be replaced for the warranty service fee which includes Shipping/handling.

These warranties are limited to the repair or replacement of the rod blank and does not cover rod components.

Great Tautog (Tog) Rod

I built this blank specifically for tog fishing in the mid Atlantic. The rod out fished any other tog rod I have ever used. The action is perfect and this rod has tremendous backbone.

Disappointed

I had a custom acid wrapped rod made from this MH 7' blank for grouper fishing. On my very first trip with this new rod, I hooked into an AJ in 80ft of water. I was using 50# braid with a 40# leader within 30 seconds of the fight, this rod snapped in half! It snapped clean off between the second and third eyelets. The fish got down into the wreck and broke me off so I lost the whole top of the rod, so I could not even save the eyelets for use on a different build.
