Product Details
Polyurethane is an ideal material for arboring reel seats because it is lightweight and highly sensitive - increasing "feel" and transferring bites and strikes through the handle. The semi-porous polyurethane material absorbs epoxy glue quite well and ensures a strong bond with the rod blank and reel seat. Available to fit most common sizes of reel seats, these arbors all include a 1/4" pilot hole which can be easily reamed or drilled out to fit any rod blank.

Just what I needed just starting a new build and can't wait to try them out
First time using these ande they are simple to use. Had to ream it out a little bit that's expected
They are perfect for the job. Easy to work and very lightweight.
I normally make my own cork arbors. I wanted to tried the graphite and poly arbors. I did two steelhead blanks with them.
I glued them into the reel seats. Then drilled them out with my Rockler self centering drill press. The handles are done. The rods haven’t been fished with yet. So I don’t know if the arbors are more sensitive, more durable etc. So far they seem good. Easier than make cork arbors out of 1/2” rings
The arbors are a little shorter I cut one up and used two pieces. That are also smaller in diameter than your size 17 reel seat. Use a little more glue than normal to fill in
Quick and easy to use these arbors in lieu of masking tape. Find the right fit for your reel seat, ream out the middle to fit, epoxy and you have a very good and lasting solution.
