CRB PRO Blank Extension Tool Set
Very high quality. Fits a huge range of sizes even very small. I'm sure they will last forever.
These extensions can also be wrapped with sand paper to serve as small reamers.
They slide out of the blank easily so I wrap tape around them and that solves the problem for me
Great product, but the sizing missed the mark. There is a big gap in the size of the taper, so the larger one is a bit big, and the smaller one is a bit too small. I need the in-between "Goldie Locks" size, so I still had to tape up a good arbor to fit. The taper is a bit steep, so it is lacking support inside the blank- that creates a lot of wobble. The products are built well, so I will give it a 4, not a 3. Design is 3-star, quality is 5-star.
I ordered with high hopes of a stable rod extension for drying and wrapping. They are very nicely made, but the finish and taper, unlike described in the demo video, slips all the time. This happens on spinning and fly rod blanks. If there is any tension on your wrap after a couple of turns of your wrapper the rod slips jeopardizing the wrap. This also happens drying, jeopardizing the finish. I have tried masking tape both internal and even external to no avail. I am now trying shrink tubing. Jury is out. I was very excited about the quality of the device, but the performance is disappointing.
