My unit smokes after very light use. I tried filing a warranty claim and the representative told me that my video did not show any smoke coming from the motor... it's definitely smoking. I like using the ma hine other than this problem that is only getting worse. First issue I've had with mud hole.
Thread tensioner has way too many components going on and will tighten as you wrap If not set up correctly
I have not used the Pro G2 yet, but I am anxious to do so. Very simple to assemble.
Replacement for my old unit.
I looked at other reviews before buying and it seems most concerns have been addressed (in true Mudhole fashion).
A couple new observations- I don’t think the kit is complete. The kit did not include a thread runner or tensioner- things that will need to be purchased separately. For the price, the kit should be complete IMO.
While I think we can all figure it out, I was disappointed with sparse instructions. Not only that but I could find nothing on CRB’s website about this. Disappointing.
Despite that, I have started to use it and am happy with its performance.
If there was a 3.5 stars, that’s what I would have rated. As mentioned, it will be a great addition to the shop- just a couple things lacking that could easily be addressed.
