Love the green, used this blank for a custom for a local high school
Been getting a few of these in different sizes. For the price they are very nice blanks.
I have made 2 of these and both had a great action any easy to cast.
I just built the 9' 3wt CRB color series fly rod. Overall, it's a pretty decent blank, and hard to beat for the price. The rod had a small wobble in the straightness near the tip, but I don't think that's going to be an issue. It spined out ok, for a 4 piece rod, with some effort. I'm concerned about the durability of the paint, having also just built a short casting rod on a CRB color series 5'6" blank, where I found the paint extremely easy to scratch., but I didn't really see that issue with this fly rod, so time will tell how it holds up. Looking forward to trying it on the water this summer.
