It’s a guide. What else can I say except it was shipped quickly, and the specs matched as described.
I got these guides for a trout rod set I built. I was surprised by the quality of these guides for the price! These are nice guides at an affordable price. Would buy again.
When building any Rod, you have choices to make during your design and build. When fighting a fish, the connection to the fish is transferred to the Rod and reel via the guides. I’ve been building rods since the late 50’s thanks to my grandfather. Mostly rebuilding along with new creations using recycled components. I would recommend using the best guides you can afford. You can always strip down an early build and easily reuse the guides yet again. I’ve enclosed a photo of two rods using these quality guides. Both are over 20 years old and fished constantly. The smaller rod spends its life in a gunnel rod locker. Little to no corrosion or wear. The other rod is my dedicated Bridge / Jetty Rod. I walk to my local Snook hangout almost daily. I just keep it rinsed off . These guides provide long friction casts and smooth drag response. Tight lines
